Abstract

The synthesis of allyl-substituted functional aryl compounds is one of the challenges existing in organic chemistry. Herein, we report a method for constructing allyl-substituted aryl boron compounds through nickel-catalyzed reductive allyl-aryl coupling between borylated aryl triflates and allyl alcohols. The method exhibits good substrate applicability under mild conditions. The synthetic utility of the method is highlighted by its gram-scale reaction, modification of complex molecules, and diverse transformation of the products.
